Meet Dr. Arnott

Suzanne Arnott, MD is a board-certified general surgeon and colon and rectal surgeon at Sacramento Colon and Rectal Surgery, where she cares for patients throughout the Sacramento and Roseville communities.

Dr. Arnott was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and has long been driven by a desire to serve others. Her early interest in public service brought her to Washington, DC, where she explored a career in politics before discovering her passion for medicine through volunteer work in healthcare. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees at The George Washington University.

During medical school, Dr. Arnott developed a strong interest in surgery and went on to complete her general surgery residency at The George Washington University. She also completed a research fellowship at the Washington Veterans Affairs Medical Center, authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, and presented research at national surgical meetings.

Throughout her training, Dr. Arnott found particular fulfillment in caring for patients facing complex and often sensitive colorectal conditions. She values thoughtful, compassionate communication and takes pride in partnering with patients to navigate challenging diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans. Her clinical interests include colon and rectal cancer, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and diverticular disease.

Dr. Arnott completed advanced fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at Swedish Medical Center, where she gained comprehensive experience in anorectal and abdominal surgery, including endoscopy, minimally invasive techniques, and robotic surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Arnott enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and camping with her dog.
